In early February my mother tagged along with me on a "business" trip to New Orleans. After crossing the last of 10 bridges before you reached the city, I was rather distraught by my scenery. Many of the neighborhoods we past were very depressing, for a lack of better words. Making our way down one-way street after one-way street, we finally arrived at The Hotel Monteleone located in the west side of the French Quarter. Although our view of the adjacent building was total crap, the hotel itself was fairly nice. Between sightseeing, a streetcar ride to the Garden District (the nicest neighborhood in the city), eating, buying a few items and more eating, I was actually able to attend some my workshops. The pictures aren't the best, but take a look anyways.
